One Week Down…

Yet another shot has been added to Gary’s routine…Zilbrysq. We are hoping that this drug in conjunction with his Vyvgart infusions will be the magic combination we have been waiting for. His first injection was April 16th in the evening. We chose the evening because he takes several insulin shots during the day. He has noticed that the needle itself does not cause excessive pain; however, when injecting the medication, he feels significant burning which can be painful for awhile. Initially he had a headache and upset stomach which lasted about 4-5 days. That has since subsided. The only improvement we have seen in his MG symptoms so far is his chewing is not as labored. Vyvgart? Zilbrysq? The combination? Who knows? The positive is THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON. πŸŽ‰πŸ˜Š

Current MG symptoms: double/blurred vision & muscle weakness…just enough to continue to get him the attention he enjoys! πŸ˜‰

MG medications: Prednisone has been increased to 40 while waiting for Zilbrysq to kick in, Pyridostigmine 3 times a day, and Vyvgart.

He will have more pulmonary testing Friday, the 26th and will see his new cardiologist concerning his stiff heart on the 29th. (His original cardiologist retired)

For now he continues to enjoy each day working, helping me at the shop, and reminding everyone that

He is blessed
