Two steps forward, one step back

Gary had his 3rd out of 4 Vyvgart infusions today. What an adventure this has been! The positives… breathing, speech, able to walk without his cane/walker/wheel chair, and mental fogginess is gone. He still has the following visitors…swallowing, tiredness, and eye issues. The eye issues are the worst… watering, burning, blurriness and the spots continue; however, he is noticing these are on and off.

He still uses his walker to go to his infusion more as a safety measure…and to carry his drink! πŸ˜‰ However, he did not use his walker to carry each of the dog kennels upstairs this morning! THREE TRIPS! Gary has been unable to walk stairs in over two years!!! We almost had to call the troops in for oxygen, but he did it!!

So far we are very happy how Vyvgart has taken an active role in his treatment and extremely happy with how he is feeling. He says there is a general feeling of freshness that he has not felt in a long time.

We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know…

WE ARE BLESSED

  1. I had my 1st dose 2 days ago, my biggest issue is ptosis, I’m wondering if anyone has seen an improvement in their ptosis after receiving vyvgart?

    1. We have heard that the eyes are the last to improve. Gary’s have yet to improve, but we look forward to seeing how they do in the future with more rounds. Please keep us updated.
