Rough Waters Yet Smooth Sailing…

Gary’s last Vyvgart treatment was June 27, 2022. So much has happened since then. We believe when someone has a disease or any illness for that matter, it is very important to have a medical “team”. Many scary days/nights happen when you have a disease such as Myasthenia gravis, and it is comforting to have professionals on your team that understand that and are available. Our team didn’t feel complete, so we made the decision to find another neuromuscular doctor. Unfortunately this meant starting many things over such as insurance approvals. We have finally reached the end of the tunnel and see daylight. Gary will receive his next round of Vyvgart Tuesday. It has not been an easy road but one well worth it we feel. We now have a team that returns calls, gives advice, and cares.

Gary’s status as of today…Elmer Fudd has returned, as have his balance and swallowing issues. He is using his cane again and the walker will make its appearance I’m sure this weekend. Thought processing and word retrieval has become more difficult, and his eyes have their own agenda. He is currently on 50mg of Prednisone and 450mg of Mestinon. He is back to pineapple juice as it helps with the mucus build up.

The positive about all of this? We have God on our side, and he is opening doors daily. We simply have to keep our hearts open. We have faith that the best is yet to come.

No doubt about it….we are blessed!!

“Pray, then let it go. Don’t try and manipulate or force the outcome. Just trust God to open the right doors at the right time.”

  1. “Let go, Let God”! Both of my kiddos have this tattooed on their bodies. I’m not the biggest fan of tattoos, but it means strength and belief for them and me. Gary and you are in my daily prayers. Love you 🙏🏻👊🏼
