All Smiles

Celebration is in order as we finally were able to get his Vyvgart started again! Woo Hoo!! This round has started off smoother than anything we have done in the past. Our appointment was at 9:30. His medication infusion lasts one hour then they monitor him for another hour. We were out of there by 11:45!! WOW! We had to laugh as they cover up the medication when giving it via IV. The nurse could not find the brown bag, so she made a cover out of a glove. Creativity at its best! Of course, Gary had to be his usual silly self and made friends as always while there. I can’t say enough good about UT Infusion Center. It is top notch!

Gary has had major swelling going on especially in his legs and feet. He was not thrilled about wearing compression stockings, and honestly I don’t blame him. Thanks to our wonderful neighbors suggestion, we purchased massaging boots. Oh my goodness we hit the lottery with this! He wears them three times a day and the swelling disappears! I honestly think he may start wearing them in place of shoes! Egads!

Three more weeks of infusions. We will be sitting back and watching this miracle drug do its job of returning his strength. Isn’t God wonderful?

No doubt about it….. we are blessed!
